A Week In The Life was set up by Ben Darmanin in 2014 with the aim to provide high end Musical Theatre training for aspiring performers.
With over 18 years experience in the industry both on and off stage, Ben's vision is to give Musical Theatre performers a real experience of what its like to spend a week in the shoes of a performer in training.
Participants have a jam packed timetable, taking classes in various dance styles, acting improvisation, solo singing, and most importantly the integration of acting and singing. Students will be trained by leading coaches in the industry who have worked with the casts of West End shows such as Les Miserables, Phantom of The Opera, Miss Saigon, Billy Elliot, Matilda, Lion King, Wicked and many more.
During the week they will be exposed to classes they are familiar with and others they are not. We aim to encourage students to try new skills even if they have never had classes in that genre before. Our tutors are specialist in nurturing and encouraging students at whatever level they are.
A Week In The Life works with your organisation to create a bespoke educational experience tailored to each students' individual needs.
Past participants have found that the experience has not only improved their skills but also helped them find clarity in their training path.
Although a Week In The Life is a training programme we have found that working closely with people in the industry has created opportunities for participants such as scholarships, workshops, bursaries and further training opportunities.
